According to the annual visit plan and related work arrangements, the College organized two delegations to visit the State University of New York at Buffalo, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Munster in Germany, and the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom on September 10-15, October 8-15, respectively.
On September 11 and 12, the delegation visited the Department of Communication at the State University of New York at Buffalo and received a warm welcome. On Sept. 13, the delegation visited the University of Pennsylvania and had discussions with Professor Yang Guobin of the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Yang Sijia , director of the Institute's Center for Tobacco Control and Research.
During the visit, the head of the delegation introduced the situation of Hubei University and the School of Journalism and Communication of Hubei University, including the history of running a school, the training of students, the development of young teachers and so on.
From October 8 to 10, Bian Xiangyi, Nie Yuanzheng and Li Ming investigated the University of Minster in Germany. They held consultations with Dr. Mark, Executive Director of the Department of Sociology of the University of Minster, and Dr. Zhou Jun, Director of the China Research Center, on academic and student development cooperations.
